POSITION SUMMARY & REQUIREMENTS:

We are seeking an experienced Treasury and Accounting Coordinator to own day-to-day banking operations, payment execution, and cash transaction processing across our entity portfolio. This is a newly created role responsible for managing bank account transactions, configuring and maintaining payment controls (Positive Pay, ACH, and wire processing), and handling accounts receivable and accounts payable transaction activity. This position requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment with sensitive financial data, and the ability to identify and resolve payment or banking discrepancies proactively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include:

Process and monitor daily bank transactions across multiple entities, including deposits, transfers, and account activity reconciliation
Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot Positive Pay rules, ACH origination files, and wire transfer templates; own resolution when exceptions or mismatches occur
Initiate and process outgoing wires and ACH payments in accordance with dual-control and approval procedures
Process accounts receivable transactions, including posting deposits, applying cash to tenant/customer ledgers, and researching payment discrepancies
Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice coding, payment batching, and check or electronic payment runs through or Accounts Payable systems
Monitor daily cash positions and flag irregularities or shortfalls to the Controller
Coordinate with the Operations Manager on bank account administration matters and escalate banking platform issues as needed
Serve as a point of contact for bank-related vendor inquiries in coordination with the AP function
Support month-end close activities related to cash, bank reconciliations, and payment activity
Identify and recommend process improvements related to banking operations, payment workflows, and treasury controls
Maintain compliance with internal controls and approval policies governing all banking and payment activity

Knowledge and Skills:

2+ years of experience in commercial treasury, banking operations, or payment processing, ideally including direct experience with commercial bank platforms and payment file setup
Hands-on experience with ACH origination, wire processing, and Positive Pay strongly preferred
Experience with Bottomline, MRI, or similar payment platforms and ERP software a plus
Experience with property management accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 systems, including Teams, Office and Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently while maintaining close coordination with the Controller and Operations Manager

Comments

Job Type: Part-time, 5 days per week
