Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Science Teacher to inspire and educate students in the fascinating world of science. This role involves delivering engaging lessons across various scientific disciplines, fostering curiosity, and developing students’ critical thinking skills. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating an inclusive learning environment that caters to diverse learning styles and backgrounds, ensuring all students achieve their full potential. Responsibilities

Design and implement comprehensive science curricula aligned with educational standards and regulations.
Deliver engaging lessons in biology, chemistry, physics, and earth sciences, incorporating hands-on experiments and dissection activities.
Integrate learning technology and IT tools into lesson plans to enhance student engagement and understanding.
Assess student progress through quizzes, standardized tests, projects, and laboratory reports, providing timely feedback.
Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive, respectful learning environment for teenagers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and school-wide initiatives.
Supervise laboratory experiments ensuring safety protocols are followed while fostering scientific inquiry and research skills.
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and special education needs, including differentiated instruction.
Mentor students academically and personally, offering guidance on science-related careers or higher education pathways.
Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and classroom activities in compliance with educational policies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications preferred.
Proven experience teaching science at the middle or high school level, including classroom management and lesson planning.
Strong knowledge of scientific disciplines such as biology (cell biology, genetics, biochemistry), chemistry (organic chemistry), physics (geometry, trigonometry, calculus), and mathematics (algebra, differential equations).
Laboratory experience with dissection techniques, microbiology procedures, molecular biology experiments, and research laboratory work.
Familiarity with educational technology tools for lesson implementation and assessment purposes.
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage students from diverse backgrounds and coordinate with colleagues.
Ability to adapt lessons based on different learning styles and individual student needs.
Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and curriculum implementation standards.
Experience working within private or Montessori school environments is advantageous but not required.
