Human Resources Administrative Assistant

US Mortgage Corporation is seeking an organized, Human Resources Administrative Assistant to join our Human Resources team at our corporate office in Melville, NY.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to build a career in Human Resources. You'll play an essential role in supporting employees throughout their employment journey while serving as the first point of contact for our corporate office.

What You'll Do

As a Human Resources Administrative Assistant, you'll support a variety of HR functions, including:

Welcome employees and visitors as the corporate office receptionist
Manage the front desk and incoming calls
Assist with recruiting activities, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates
Support employee onboarding and orientation
Administer Paylocity, including employee records and HR workflows
Assist with payroll and benefits administration
Maintain confidential employee files and HR documentation
Prepare employment letters, reports, and other HR correspondence
Coordinate new hire paperwork and employment verifications
Assist with employee recognition and engagement initiatives
Provide exceptional customer service to employees and managers
Support special HR projects and process improvements

What We're Looking For

2+ years of HR experience preferred
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with an HRIS (Paylocity experience is a plus)
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Passion for helping others and creating a great employee experience
