Full Job Description

At Devin & Associates (Westlake, OH), we take pride in being a boutique CPA firm that delivers a highly personalized level of service to our clients, something that is often lost in larger firms. For years, we have built our reputation on professionalism, responsiveness, and trusted client relationships. Utilizing industry-leading UltraTax software and staying current with evolving tax laws and accounting standards, we provide exceptional service across a wide range of tax and assurance engagements. As our firm continues to grow, we are seeking a CPA to join our team. This individual will work closely with partners and staff while serving a diverse client base and contributing to the continued success of our practice.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

· Prepare and review business and individual income tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1120, 1120-H, 1065, and 990

· Provide proactive tax planning strategies for both business and individual clients

· Manage multiple client engagements while ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met

· Identify tax issues and opportunities through research, analysis, and problem-solving

· Conduct tax research and provide practical recommendations to clients and team members

· Participate in audits, reviews, and compilations, with a focus on Homeowners and Condominium Associations

· Build trusted relationships with clients by providing responsive service and strategic guidance

· Develop a strong understanding of each client's business and industry, recognizing trends and developments that may impact their operations

· Leverage technology and industry resources to enhance efficiency, expand knowledge, and improve client service

· Collaborate closely with partners and team members on a variety of tax, accounting, and consulting engagements

· Play an active role in mentoring, developing, and training staff members

· Contribute to the continued growth and success of the firm's client service offerings

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

· Active CPA license required

· 3–5 years of public accounting experience with a strong focus on tax preparation and attestation engagements, including audits, reviews, and compilations

· Ability to prepare and review intermediate to complex individual and business income tax returns

· Experience with Forms 1040, 1120, 1120-H, 1065, and 990

· Strong understanding of tax planning, tax research, and tax compliance requirements

· Multi-state tax compliance experience is a plus

· Proficiency with UltraTax is preferred

· Strong general accounting background, including the preparation and compilation of financial statements

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members

· Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities

· Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and consistently meet deadlines

· Desire to mentor and support the professional development of junior staff

· High level of professionalism, integrity, and strong personal character

· Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and building long-term client relationships
