Job Overview

Duties

Self-generate mortgage loans by assessing client needs and explaining various loan programs and options
Gather and analyze financial documents to determine borrower eligibility, including income verification and credit reports
Process loan applications efficiently using specialized financial software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations such as TILA (Truth in Lending Act)
Review contracts, disclosures, and legal documents to ensure clarity and adherence to federal and state laws
4-6 Networking events a week; Outside Sales/Business Development
Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and other team members to facilitate timely loan approvals
Maintain detailed records of all loan activities, including 10-key typing of data entries and calculations for precise documentation
Provide exceptional customer service by guiding clients through each step of the loan process and addressing any questions or concerns promptly

Experience

Proven experience in loan origination within the financial services industry or as a mortgage loan officer
Strong understanding of loan processing procedures, including document collection and verification
Familiarity with mortgage-related regulations such as TILA and contractual obligations within the lending process
Proficiency with financial software platforms used for loan management and processing
Excellent math skills, including basic calculations necessary for assessing borrower qualifications
Ability to perform 10-key typing efficiently for data entry tasks
Prior experience in handling contracts and legal documentation related to loans is highly desirable
