Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Law Clerk specializing in Lemon Law to join our dynamic legal team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in consumer protection law, support case development, and contribute to achieving justice for clients facing vehicle lemon issues. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong research, organizational skills, and a passion for legal advocacy.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive legal research on lemon law statutes, procedural law, and relevant case law using platforms like Westlaw and LexisNexis
Assist attorneys with drafting legal documents, motions, and correspondence related to lemon law cases
Review and organize case files, documents, and evidence using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw
Support client communication by preparing updates and scheduling interviews with clients and witnesses
Manage case deadlines, filings, and document review processes to ensure compliance with procedural requirements
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while handling legal support tasks efficiently
Collaborate with team members on case strategy development and project management initiatives

Requirements

We are looking for post-bar law clerks. Candidates should have completed law school and preferably have already taken the bar exam.
Strong knowledge of procedural law, legal research techniques, and case management practices
Proficiency with legal software including Westlaw, LexisNexis, PCLaw, iManage, and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Effective interviewing skills for client intake and witness statements
Exceptional writing, proofreading, and legal drafting abilities
Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professionalism
