Full Job Description

Experienced Maintenance Manager

Domus Management Company is seeking an experienced, reliable, and hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of our established permanent supportive housing community, Ambrosia Apartments, in Los Angeles. We are looking for a motivated professional who takes pride in maintaining safe, high-quality housing while providing exceptional service to our residents.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in affordable housing maintenance, experience leading maintenance operations, and the ability to work collaboratively while ensuring compliance with housing regulations and inspection standards.

Key Responsibilities

Complete maintenance work orders efficiently and professionally
Perform apartment turns according to company standards and timelines
Repair and maintain appliances, HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems
Complete drywall, painting, and general carpentry repairs
Conduct routine unit inspections and preventative maintenance
Maintain the property's curb appeal, including grounds, trash enclosures, and common areas
Prepare the property for third-party inspections, including Tax Credit, REAC, SHRA, and other regulatory inspections
Respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies as needed
Work collaboratively with the property management team to meet deadlines and operational goals
Deliver excellent customer service to residents while maintaining professionalism
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and Fair Housing regulations
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Required experience and skills:

Minimum of 2 years of Affordable Housing Maintenance experience
Minimum of 2 years of Property Management Maintenance experience
Minimum of 2 years of Maintenance Management experience
Minimum of 2 years of Supervisory experience
Minimum of 2 years working with LA Housing regulations
Minimum of 2 years working with vulnerable populations

Technical experience with:

Apartment maintenance repairs
Turning vacant units
Appliance repair
HVAC repair
Plumbing and electrical troubleshooting and repairs
Building systems maintenance
Third-party inspections (Tax Credit, NSPIRE SHRA, etc.)

Additional qualifications:

Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to following company policies and procedures

Schedule

Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Monday through Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
After-hours emergency response required

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $27.00–$29.00 per hour, depending on Maintenance Management experience
