Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wraparound Parent Partner to join our team. The Parent Partner is a parent or primary caregiver with lived experience caring for and supporting a child or youth who has received intensive services similar to Wraparound. Through this experience, the Parent Partner provides support, guidance, mentoring, and advocacy to families while working closely with parents and caregivers to represent their best interests. This role is essential in helping families navigate systems of care, connect with resources, and engage in the Wraparound model through a team-based, strength-centered approach. The Parent Partner shares their own journey to build trust, empower caregivers, identify family strengths, and offer a hopeful outlook that promotes resilience, personal growth, and positive relationships for children, youth, and families.

Duties

Support families through education, advocacy, and resource navigation
Share your lived experience to build trust, offer hope, and promote resilience
Partner with caregivers and Wraparound teams to ensure family voices are heard and respected
Assist families in identifying strengths and setting meaningful goals
Help facilitate team meetings, attend community outreach, and participate in program planning
Educate individuals on various topics related to personal development and well-being.
Provide mentoring support to children, helping them navigate challenges and build resilience.
Utilize conflict management skills to resolve disputes and promote a harmonious environment.
Offer addiction counseling services, guiding individuals through recovery processes.
Collaborate with social work professionals to create comprehensive support plans for clients.
Conduct workshops and group sessions aimed at enhancing life skills and emotional intelligence.
Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress for each individual supported.

Requirements

To perform effectively in this position, the individual must:

Be a parent or primary (non-foster) caregiver with full-time legal responsibility for a child or youth
Have lived experience caring for a child/youth who has received intensive services (e.g., Wraparound, mental health, or child welfare support)
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with families, service providers, and professionals
Maintain healthy boundaries, show empathy, and consistently use a strength-based, non-judgmental approach
Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage documentation, scheduling, and reporting responsibilities
Show a deep commitment to supporting families from diverse backgrounds and helping them successfully navigate systems of care
Possess excellent conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm, compassionate, and solutions-focused under pressure
Have a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of children, youth, and families
Hold a bachelor’s degree (preferred) or be actively pursuing higher education in a related field
Have completed relevant coursework and possess knowledge of legal and ethical issues in child and family counseling and mental health care
