Full Job Description

SUMMARY :

Helps guests complete registration cards and assign rooms, accommodating special requests whenever possible. Verifies the guest's method of payment and follows established credit-checking procedures. Places guest and room information in the appropriate front desk racks and communicates requests for maintenance and repair work. Processing reservations and assisting guests with their needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Registers guests and assigns rooms. Accommodates special requests whenever possible.

2. Assists in preregistration and blocking of rooms for reservations.

3. Thoroughly understands and adheres to proper credit/debit, cash handling policies and procedures.

4. Possesses a working knowledge of the reservations department. Takes same day reservations and future reservations when necessary.

5. Processes guest check-ins & check-outs.

6. Uses proper telephone etiquette.

7. Reconciliation folios (guests / company account). Balancing the accounts from day/evening shifts.

8. Ensuring customer satisfaction by scheduling wake-up-calls and other concierge activities according to guest preference.

9. Managing and updating all official documentation.

10. Ensuring that all end-of-day activities have been successfully executed by employees in all departments.

11. Answering calls and queries related to potential bookings.
12. Numeracy Skills is required (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages).

QUALIFICATIONS:

Flexible hours. Monday to Sunday. Available to work/train all 3 shifts during training period. Normal night audit hours is in between 12:00am to next morning 8:00am. If you do not have flexible hours, DO NOT APPLY. Requires knowledge of basic office equipment and procedures including the operation of a multi-line telephone system. Must have valid driver's license (or valid governmental permits to work), valid social security numbers, and must be over 18 years of age. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office & computer is necessary. Must be able to communicate verbally and by handwriting in English & Spanish.
