Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bankruptcy Attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of bankruptcy cases, providing expert legal counsel to clients facing financial distress, and navigating complex insolvency proceedings. Your expertise will help clients achieve optimal outcomes through strategic planning, diligent case management, and effective courtroom advocacy. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse legal matters within a fast-paced environment dedicated to delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

Handle all aspects of bankruptcy filings, including Chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws
Conduct thorough legal research on statutes, procedural law, and relevant case law using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw
Draft and review legal documents including petitions, schedules, motions, and court pleadings with precision and clarity
Represent clients in court depositions, hearings, and trial preparation to advocate effectively on their behalf
Negotiate with creditors, trustees, and other parties to reach favorable resolutions for clients
Provide comprehensive legal counsel on estate planning, debt restructuring, and financial management strategies
Maintain meticulous case management records and communicate proactively with clients regarding case developments and legal options

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in relevant jurisdiction
Proven experience in general & commercial litigation, bankruptcy law, or related fields with a strong understanding of procedural law
Familiarity with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw for statutory research and case analysis
Exceptional legal writing skills with the ability to draft clear and persuasive motions and pleadings
Demonstrated expertise in negotiation tactics and client communication to foster trust and clarity
Knowledge of estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, personal injury law, employment law case experience, statutory legal research, legal motion preparation, legal case management systems, litigation procedures, trial preparation techniques and procedural rules
Strong organizational skills with experience in legal administrative tasks including document management and court filings
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
