Optometric Technician / Patient Care Specialist
Lynn Family Vision – Louisville, KY

Lynn Family Vision is a locally owned and operated eye care practice that has been serving the Louisville area since 1986. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional patient care, from routine eye exams to advanced vision therapy for concussion and traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients. Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, adaptable Optometric Technician / Patient Care Specialist to join our growing team. This is a multi-faceted role that goes far beyond traditional optometric duties. While you’ll be trained and responsible for the full range of optometric services—glasses, contacts, pre-testing, etc.—you will also have the unique opportunity to work closely with patients in our specialized Sports Vision, Concussion, and TBI Therapy programs.

Key Responsibilities

Perform pre-testing and diagnostic procedures for routine eye exams.
Assist patients with frame selection, eyewear adjustments, and contact lens fittings.
Manage patient flow and ensure a high level of customer service.
Support our TBI and concussion therapy program, including vision training sessions (training provided).
Maintain accurate patient records and follow HIPAA guidelines.
Assist in various operational areas of the practice as needed, including front desk, scheduling, and inventory.

Qualifications

Previous optical or healthcare experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to connect with patients of all ages.
Willingness to learn new technologies and therapies.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Team player with a proactive, can-do attitude.

Schedule & Pay

Full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays.
Competitive hourly rate based on experience, plus benefits.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
