Full Job Description

A well-established nonprofit organization in the Greater Lawrence area is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join its team on a 3-month contract. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being the face of an organization, thrives in a fast-paced office, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service while supporting day-to-day administrative operations.

This is a fully onsite opportunity with consistent weekday hours and the chance to work alongside a collaborative leadership team.

What You'll Do

As the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and vendors, you'll play a key role in keeping daily office operations running smoothly. Responsibilities include:

Greet visitors, families, and guests while creating a welcoming environment
Answer and direct incoming phone calls and respond to emails professionally
Perform administrative support including data entry, filing, scheduling, and document preparation
Monitor office, medical, and maintenance supply inventory and place purchasing orders
Coordinate with vendors regarding deliveries, supplies, and office needs
Schedule conference rooms and assist with meeting coordination
Support multiple departments with special projects and general administrative tasks
Maintain office equipment and coordinate service requests when needed
Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion

What We're Looking For

High School Diploma or equivalent
2+ years of administrative, receptionist, or front desk experience
Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy office
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Ability to prioritize work while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
