Full Job Description

The Center for Interventional Pain Management is a well-established, physician-owned Interventional Pain Management and Aesthetic practice led by C. Michel Oliva, MD. Our practice offers a unique combination of specialized pain management services and aesthetic treatments, allowing us to care for patients with a wide range of needs. We are committed to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care in a professional and supportive environment. We are seeking a dependable, friendly Medical Receptionist who enjoys working with patients, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be professional, organized, and able to contribute positively to a collaborative team dedicated to excellent patient care.

Every third Friday afternoon off after training and when staffing permits
Stable Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and professionally, managing a multi-line phone system with excellent phone etiquette
Obtain and scan insurance cards, identification, and required documentation
Schedule and confirm patient appointments in Athena EMR
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
Collect copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and outstanding balances
Review and update patient medical records ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPPA regulations
Maintain office supplies, file documents accurately, and ensure the front desk area remains organized and welcoming
Communicate effectively with patients, staff, pharmacies, and referring providers
Assist with chart preparation and other front-office duties as needed

Qualifications

Medical office experience strongly preferred
Athena EMR experience preferred but not required
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to multitask and remain professional in a busy clinical environment
Comfortable discussing patient financial responsibility and collecting payments
Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential
