The partnership was created to introduce composite fan blades in a GE90 Engine that powers the Boeing 777. Summary/Objective:
The Production Control Leader is member of the CFAN Staff, reports directly to the President of the company. This position will be for leading team members in warehouse, stockroom, buyer/planner positions and to coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Has significant input into priorities. Guided by professional practices and policies that are shaped by the role. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgement. This role may include of travel of 10-15%, domestica and internationally.
Essential Functions:
- Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.
- Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
- Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
- Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis ot support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics with field.

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field or 10 years of leadership experience in Production Control required.
- 10 years leadership experience in a manufacturing/supply chain environment.
- 5 years of experience with purchasing, expediting, MRP/ ERP systems, quality/continuous improvement initiatives, manufacturing safety practices and MS Office applications.
- Solid analytical skills
- 5+ years of experience in Lean manufacturing
- 2 to 3 years of Vendor Management
- 2 to 3 years of Customer support
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to work cross functionally
- Leadership ability to develop others
- Self-motivated
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment Ability to formalize and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
Preferred Education/Certifications:
- APICS certification preferred

Performing the duties of this job will require the ability to lift equipment no more than 50 lbs., walk, bend or stand frequently. Occasionally requires sitting and working on computers/Network/Software and phones.
