Job description:

Party Rental Ltd. began as a small table and chair rental company in 1972 and has grown into one of the premiere event equipment rental services in the nation. With an ever-expanding product line of tables, chairs, tableware, and linens, we surpass the offerings of our competitor and maintain continuity to providing the most superb selections for all events.

I. Position Summary

The Transportation supervisor is the primary contact and director of daily work of all drivers reporting into this position. This individual is a key component of the Company’s efforts to ensure team safety while efficiency managing on-time daily deliveries and pickups. While typically scheduled, the responsibilities of this position will often require that the supervisor work weekends and occasional extra hours and/or days especially during the spring and fall peak seasons. The Transportation Supervisor responsibilities are:

· Supervise as many as 50 on road Drivers and 100 driver helpers

· Train employees in order to sustain a safe work environment.

· Supports all activities that assure on-time deliveries and pickups

· Communicates and trains employees on Company/department policy and procedures

· Communicates with drivers and helpers regarding daily routes, last minute changes and customer requirements

· Assures compliance with DOT, State, and local laws

· Utilizes Roadnet and MobileCast (or other tools) to monitor routes, assure efficiency and customer satisfaction

· Assures, measures and records route efficiency for deliveries, reruns, and pick-ups

· Demonstrates and trains staff to deliver World Class customer service.

· Supports and holds employees accountable to maintain their vehicles

· Coaches, guides, and develops employees and hold them accountable for performance.

· Assures that employee work time is properly recorded and adjusted so that employees are paid timely and accurately

· Understands and remains up to date on all Company products including operation and troubleshooting of cooking equipment

· Understands and assures compliance to DOT requirements

· Assures that employees receive communications regarding benefits, employee events, meetings, surveys, training, business develops and current and future protocols on a timely and informative basis.

Basic Qualifications

Education and Experience

· Associates Degree in Business or similar discipline required

· 1-3 Years of Transportation Supervisory Experience in a fast-paced environment required

· Knowledge of DOT and other associated guidelines, regulations, policies, POS

Required Skills/Abilities

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

· Ability to anticipate and solve problems.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to maintain a professional demeanor under pressure and operate with a keen sense of urgency and commitment to quality.

· Ability to work well in a team environment.

· Bilingual Spanish/English would be helpful
