The Opportunity:
Whittier Street Health Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated part-time Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our Women's Health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care across the lifespan, including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, gynecologic, and reproductive health services. The CNM will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, culturally responsive care while supporting healthy pregnancies, safe deliveries, and women's overall health and wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

Participates in examinations of obstetrical patients as needed and collaborates with midwives from Boston Medical Center and Brigham & Women’s Hospital, who are primarily responsible for the care, treatment, and delivery of the patient.
Outpatient prenatal/postpartum and GYN care only.
Leads Centering Pregnancy group visits for prenatal patients.
Proficient in gynecological office procedures.
Performs postpartum examinations and treatments to ensure the patient and infant are responding normally.
Proficient in conducting gynecological exams and Pap smears.
Proficient in addressing family planning and menopause-related issues.
Educate patients and families regarding pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, breastfeeding, contraception, and preventive health.

Qualifications:

Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse Midwifery from an accredited program.
Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure.
Current certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) through the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
DEA registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.
Minimum of two years of clinical experience in obstetrics, gynecology, or women's health preferred.
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and patient education skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with diverse and underserved populations preferred.
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
