Full Job Description

Title: Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA)
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Reports To: Regional Operations
Pay Range: $175k-$195k

THE ROLE
You will lead the facility beyond “survival mode”, to a culture of quality and stability.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE FACILITY

THE FOUNDATION
- Current, unencumbered Nursing Home Administrator license issued by the State.
- License in good standing with no active probation or substantiated violations.
THE JOURNEY
- Minimum 1 year as a lead NHA in a skilled nursing facility.
- Proven track record of maintaining quality measures (or demonstrable improvement trajectory).
- Experience managing P&L, census development, and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement.
- Successfully led state and federal surveys with minimal or well-managed citations.
THE CRAFT
- Deep fluency in state regulations and federal CMS requirements.
- Be a true operational partner to the Director of Nursing.
- Staff a weekend without begging.
- Financial acumen.
THE CHARACTER
- Calm yet authoritative during a survey.
- Handles family and resident concerns with empathy and sound judgment.
- Treats all staff with equal respect. Builds a culture where staff feel valued.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Oversee all daily operations, including clinical care, staffing, and regulatory compliance.
Manage state and federal surveys, implement Plans of Correction, and drive quality measures.
Drive occupancy through community outreach, physician relations, and family satisfaction.
Monitor budgets, control costs, and ensure timely Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement.
Lead and mentor department heads.

As a licensed Nursing Home Administrator, you are the State’s primary point of contact and must be available to respond to urgent matters at any time. That is the nature of the role. At the same time, we believe in a healthy boundary between your personal pursuits and professional responsibilities. You will receive a dedicated work phone and laptop – so you never have to use your personal devices for work. When an issue arises, you use the work phone. When there is no active issue, you are not expected to monitor your personal devices for work. This separation allows you to be fully responsive when needed, without work bleeding into your personal space or privacy.
