Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate must have strong bookkeeping skills, assist in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization. This role combines administrative and financial responsibilities and candidate must be willing to follow established systems in place. Duties and responsibilities are as follows:

Manage all aspects of general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, as well as handling payroll information, and cash flow
Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
Verify that transactions are recorded correctly in the general ledger
Perform checks of the accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll towards the end of each month
Manage budgeting and financial forecasting for the business and report any major issues to executive management
Make journal entries to assist with the month end close
Produce monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets
Reconcile all bank accounts, including reconciliation of Brokerage accounts
Process payroll in a timely manner
Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
Support management in Investment information
Regular communication with company CPA to coordinate quarterly and annual tax payments and any other general ledger questions
Review post tax return data and final returns including keeping specific individual folders for tax return data and documents
Manage intercompany transactions and accounts for related companies
Track and help maintain investment portfolios, including record keeping and reporting.
Deal with pop up ADHOC situations when necessary
Must be experienced in Quickbooks online and highly proficient in Microsoft Office. Expert in Excel i.e., extensive spreadsheet knowledge
The ideal candidate would understand marketable securities, stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. The ability to read, understand, and reconcile a brokerage statement. Understand the difference between realized and unrealized gains & losses as well as cost basis vs. market value. Having this knowledge is not 100% percent necessary.
