Job Overview

Duties

Prepare a variety of dishes ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, braising pans, poaching stations, and food production appliances
Execute food preparation tasks such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food handling with precision and care
Follow strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or specials that align with culinary standards
Support high-volume food production for catering events or large service periods while maintaining quality control
Ensure proper knife skills are applied during food prep to maximize efficiency and safety

Experience

Proven culinary experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurant settings
Demonstrated expertise in food preparation techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and meal assembly
Experience with dietary department procedures and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus
Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in commercial kitchens
Background in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on food handling and customer service excellence
Knowledge of operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively
Prior experience in catering or large-scale food production environments is desirable
