Overview

Little Rad Market is a high-end market and café in Belle Meade specializing in coffee, baked goods, and scratch-made prepared foods. We’re the sister restaurant to Radish Kitchen, both from chef and cookbook author Amanda Frederickson, with a shared focus on delicious food, premium ingredients and exceptional customer service.

The Kitchen Manager will oversee the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and high-quality culinary experience. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who excels in team management, kitchen operations, and culinary creativity, all while keeping a positive attitude. The Kitchen Manager will not only supervise staff, maintain safety and cleanliness standards, and control inventory and costs, but also play an integral role in developing and refining our menu offerings in collaboration with ownership and leadership.

What You’ll Do

Work alongside the team making sandwiches, prepping, and keeping the kitchen clean and running smoothly
Create prep lists and schedules, ensuring that the kitchen is setup for every shift
Place orders, manage inventory, and help control costs to hit budget goals
Supervise, train, and coach kitchen staff to keep performance and morale high
Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times
Collaborate on menu updates and recipe development alongside ownership
Troubleshoot issues on the fly and build better systems and processes as you go
Cross-Train in FOH and our coffee program. Every manager here knows the whole café, not just their corner of it
Taste test FroYo to keep standards high (tough gig, we know)

What We're Looking For

5+ years of restaurant or kitchen management experience
Proven ability to lead a team and act independently
Positive attitude and passion for making customers happy
A heavy focus on systems, organization, and cleanliness
Comfortable with ordering, scheduling, budgeting,
Knowledge of labor laws, health codes, safe food handling, sanitation, safety and security systems and procedures, computer operations
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Zero-tolerance policy for negativity, ego, or temper tantrums like you might find in other kitchens. If this is your personality, you won’t be a good fit here
