Full Job Description

Schedule 8 AM - 5 PM

Summary
Lead and oversee all health, safety, and environmental programs within our manufacturing facility.
Developing, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and initiatives promoting a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace.
Manage team of 10
Serve as a key business partner to operations and leadership teams while dous improvement in workplace safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all Environmental Health & Safety programs, policies, procedures, and staff.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and corporate EHS regulations and requirements.
Serve as the primary advocate for a culture of safety excellence across the organization.
Monitor and interpret evolving EHS laws, regulations, and industry best practices to maintain compliance.
Partner with leadership teams to implement and sustain safe work practices and behavioral safety initiatives.
Manage, mentor, and develop EHS personnel, including performance management and project assignments.
Develop, implement, and maintain compliance tracking systems, documentation, and recordkeeping programs.
Coordinate regulatory submissions, permit applications, agency correspondence, and citation responses.
Lead internal and external EHS audits and drive corrective actions for findings, incidents, and adverse events.
Develop and implement both immediate and long-term solutions to mitigate safety risks and prevent recurrence.
Maintain and support emergency response plans and preparedness programs.
Analyze safety performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce incidents and occupational hazards.
Coordinate safety training programs and ensure leadership accountability for workplace safety standards.
Support initiatives to maintain a hazard-free workplace, including management of chemical, physical, and biological risks.
Assist in the proper management and disposal of waste materials and environmental compliance requirements.
Collaborate closely with manufacturing and maintenance leadership to identify and address workplace risks.
Develop procedures to identify, prevent, and eliminate equipment, process, and product-related hazards.
Lead plant safety committees and hold stakeholders accountable for achieving safety objectives.
Support and maintain facility compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Required

3+ years of Environmental Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, systems, and workplace hazards.
Demonstrated understanding of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience supporting or leading ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification programs a plus.
Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHMM, or equivalent are a plus.
