Job Overview
Ignite your leadership skills and drive operational excellence as a Production Manager! The Production Manager is responsible for owning and leading all production operations for residential roofing and exterior projects. This role ensures that jobs sold by the sales team are scheduled, installed, and closed out safely, on time, on budget, and to company quality standards. The Production Manager serves as the primary bridge between sales, field personnel, and ownership, and is the escalation point for complex operational issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Own and manage the full production lifecycle for residential roofing and exterior projects
Build, maintain, and execute the production schedule across crews, projects, and weather constraints
Lead, coach, and manage Project Coordinators, crew leads, and subcontractors
Ensure materials, labor, permits, and inspections are properly coordinated for all active jobs
Set, enforce, and uphold company quality, safety, and installation standards
Oversee job cost performance including labor, materials, change orders, and gross margin per job
Monitor and address callbacks, warranty issues, and repeat deficiencies
Serve as the escalation point for production, customer, crew, or scheduling issues
Partner closely with Sales and Ownership to align scope, timelines, and customer expectations
Manage supplier and subcontractor relationships, including performance and accountability
Track and improve production metrics such as cycle time, margin variance, and completion rates
Support hiring, onboarding, and development of production

Qualifications:

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams without micromanaging
Proven experience building and managing production schedules in roofing or construction
Solid understanding of job costing, margins, and production financials
Ability to enforce standards and processes consistently across teams and projects
Excellent communication skills across owners, sales teams, customers, crews, and vendors
Strong problem-solving skills and calm decision-making under pressure
Deep working knowledge of roofing and exterior construction practices

Comfortable using CRM, scheduling, and production management software

High level of organization, accountability, and operational discipline
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Education and Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in roofing or exterior construction
At least 3–5 years in a supervisory, production, or operations leadership role
Prior hands-on experience as an installer, crew lead, coordinator, or superintendent strongly preferred
General construction operations leaders considered with demonstrated roofing knowledge
No college degree required; construction management or business degree is a plus
OSHA 30, manufacturer certifications (GAF, Owens Corning, etc.), strongly preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
