We're looking for someone who's genuinely energized by keeping websites running smoothly behind the scenes (DNS, servers, email, and the technical plumbing that most people never see) and who's also comfortable making front-end edits when needed.
You'll join our Edits team, working directly with our account managers to complete website update requests, technical troubleshooting, and web ops tasks as they come in from clients.
This role is weighted toward technology and systems work: DNS records, domain management, server configuration, email inbox setup and migration, and diagnosing technical issues on live sites.
You'll also handle some front-end WordPress edits such as swapping out text and images, updating a form, styling pages, and occasionally building a new page from a spec.
If you like solving technical problems, move fast, and want to build deep expertise in website infrastructure, you'll thrive here.
While the day to day will vary, you'll work on a wide variety of tasks such as:
- Handling web ops and IT-related tasks including DNS record updates, domain management, SSL/certificate issues, and server configuration and maintenance.
- Creating and migrating email inboxes for clients, and troubleshooting email deliverability, MX records, and related configuration issues.
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues on live sites — broken integrations, hosting problems, plugin conflicts, performance issues, and site errors.
- Completing website edit and update requests submitted by clients, working directly with account managers to scope the request and confirm the result matches what the client needs.
- Making front-end updates as needed: text, images, forms, and light page styling in WordPress.
- Configuring and integrating plugins, forms, e-commerce, and third-party integrations to deliver specific site functionality.
- Occasionally building and styling a new page to match a client request or mockup.
- Using AI tools as part of your everyday workflow to move faster and troubleshoot, alongside project and bug-tracking software and multiple platforms across the full web development lifecycle.
- Working as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-focused environment, often juggling many technical and client requests at once.
Requirements
- Solid working knowledge of DNS, domain management, and basic server administration. You should be comfortable with records, hosting configurations, and diagnosing connectivity or infrastructure issues.
- Experience with (or desire to learn) email administration: inbox creation, migration, and troubleshooting (MX records, SPF/DKIM, deliverability issues).
- 1+ years working with websites in a technical capacity, ideally including WordPress, or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, sufficient to make front-end edits and light styling updates.
- Comfortable working directly with account managers to interpret and complete a range of client requests, from technical fixes to front-end updates.
- A natural problem-solver who can diagnose issues methodically and knows when to dig in versus ask questions.
- Eager to learn new tools and systems. Web infrastructure and tooling change fast, so we need someone who adapts quickly.
- Comfortable using AI tools to assist with troubleshooting and technical work.
- Strong verbal and written communication. Analytical, focused, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to finish tasks to completion, on deadline, while juggling multiple projects.
- Able to go fast and not combust during the ebb and flow of ticket volume.
Preferred
- Prior experience with server management, hosting environments, or system administration.
- Comfort with JavaScript, PHP and bash.
- Experience with cybersecurity basics (SSL, firewalls, malware cleanup) as they relate to web hosting.
- A background in IT support, systems administration, or web development.
- A sense of humor.
