Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive salon manager to support the owner and oversee the day-to-day operations of our luxury salon. This role is ideal for someone who is confident working with both clients and staff, can identify problems before they become bigger issues, and understand how to keep a busy salon running efficiently.

Responsibilities

Manage daily salon operations, including scheduling, inventory control, and cash handling to ensure smooth workflow and optimal productivity
Managing and support front desk procedures, scheduling, and client communication.
Monitor staff schedules, availability, appointment books, and booking opportunities.
Help resolve client concerns professionally and maintain a high level of customer service.
Coordinate website updates, marketing materials, social media initiatives, and salon communications.
Lead recruitment efforts by interviewing candidates, conducting employee orientation sessions, and onboarding new team members to build a skilled and motivated staff
Oversee retail sales activities, including merchandising, pricing strategies, and product knowledge to maximize revenue opportunities
Supervise staff performance through coaching, training & development initiatives, and managerial communication to foster a high-performing team environment
Coordinate purchasing and inventory management activities to ensure product availability while minimizing stock discrepancies

Requirements

Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively through managerial communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, bookkeeping practices, and basic math for retail math calculations
Strong leadership qualities with experience in training & development, shift management, and employee orientation
Demonstrated skills in negotiation, customer service excellence, sales management, and retail industry sales team management experience
Knowledge of payroll processing, purchasing procedures, inventory control techniques, and cash handling procedures
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently with excellent time management skills

The ideal candidate is organized, resourceful, professional, and comfortable taking initiative. You should be able to move between client services, staff management, administrative work, and business operations without needing contact direction.

Experience in salon, spa, hospitality, retail, and another service based business, is preferred. Management or operations experience is a plus. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who takes ownership, follows through, and genuinely cares helping the business operate at its best.

Pay: $26.11 - $31.44 per hour
