About This Role

Per MFCU Policy, all employees must have their primary residence in New Hampshire.

As a Lending Support Specialist, you keep the details of our members' auto loans in order including titles, liens, and total loss claims, so members can move forward with confidence. You don't just process documents, you protect member assets and the credit union's compliance standing, one file at a time.

This role works behind the scenes of the lending process, coordinating with members, dealerships, and state agencies to keep title and documentation accurate and on time. Success here isn't measured only in files closed, it's measured in accuracy maintained, trust protected, and members supported through the fine print.

What You'll Do

Manage Vehicle Titles & Documentation

● Process and track vehicle titles for new and refinanced auto loans with a high degree of accuracy, honoring our Safety & Security value.

● Ensure all title documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner.

● Accurately enter and update title information in the credit union's loan processing system.

● Prepare lien releases and ensure proper documentation is filed upon loan payoff, protecting member assets every step of the way.

● Assist with auditing title files and maintaining organized, audit-ready records.

Support Members, Dealers & Partners

● Communicate with members, dealerships, and state agencies to resolve title issues or discrepancies—clearly, patiently, and without jargon, living our People First value.

● Assist with all aspects of auto total loss claims, including claim review, settlement communication, and title processing.

● Help members understand what each title or claim step means for their loan, connecting the dots between paperwork and their broader Financial Wellness.

● Provide administrative support to the lending team as needed to keep member files moving.

Protect Trust & Ensure Compliance

● Maintain up-to-date knowledge of title regulations and requirements in applicable states.

● Follow all credit union policies and security procedures; ensure all member and employee information is maintained in the strictest confidence.

● Support compliance reviews and documentation as directed, doing the right thing even when no one is watching.

● Assist with collection efforts as needed, balancing firmness with respect for the member behind the account.

Support the Team & Department

● Share knowledge of title, lien, and claims processes with lending teammates to help maintain smooth, compliant operations.

● Demonstrate consistent accountability, initiative, and professionalism that support a positive, collaborative lending team.

● Represent the credit union's Community roots by supporting members and partners with care and integrity.

Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred. Prior experience as a title clerk, in loan processing, or in an administrative role within a financial institution or dealership preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems; ability to navigate the credit union's loan processing system and related office equipment.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret title regulations, policies, and procedures. Clear written and verbal communication with members, dealerships, and state agencies.

Mathematical Skills: Accurately perform basic arithmetic and data verification related to loan payoffs, lien releases, and title records.

Reasoning Ability: Apply policies and procedures to practical title and documentation situations. Exercises sound judgment in identifying and escalating discrepancies; follows written and oral instructions.

Pay: $18.75 - $20.00 per hour
