Full Job Description

Primary Duties & Areas of Responsibility:

· Collaborating with manager of each area to successfully support the business needs

· Oversee the 3 areas are meeting the needs of the company- shortages, inventory turns, shipping and cost reductions, timely preparation of all shipments

· Implement standard work for all areas for efficiencies and relevance- ie: oversee inventory cycle counts and adjustments, material issue compliance

· Purchasing team metrics- PPV, on time issue of PO, Lean DNA notes updated, supplier communication, cost reduction, LTA executions, negotiate terms, lead time, standard of work

· Represent the areas in Tier walks daily

· Provide recommendations and data to Senior Management for effective business decisions.

· Participate in Business Sales Growth and Operations Planning Strategies. (GDP)

Direct Support Accountabilities for Material Readiness for the Plant

· Manage the risk for materials, accuracy of on hand inventory and accuracy of Pos for needs

· Manage the administrative support of logistics, inventory and purchasing team

· Ensures POs are released in a timely manner and within Delegation of Authority of Compliance

· Approve the expense reports and coding of purchasing team corporate credit card

· Assist the Management Team in Government Audits, Compliance and Supplier Needs

· Ensure that employees are trained and cross trained.

· Assist the Controller, Director of Supply Chain and Production Control Manager in Year End Inventory

· Monitor OTD for Purchasing, PPV for Purchasing, Adjustments for Inventory, Freight Costs and Reduction

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Directly supervises employees in the Logistics, Inventory and Purchasing Dept.

· Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

· Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
