Full Job Description

Hiring for these shifts (Updated June 28, 2026)

Serious applicants are preferred

Employed and managed by the client through Accra

DAY SHIFTS

9:00 am - 4:00 pm SATURDAYS, SUNDAY (this would begin the weekend of August 8th and continues every other weekend)

EVENING SHIFTS

4:00 pm - 11:00 pm SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS (this would begin the weekend of August 1st, and continue every other weekend)

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Adult female with spinal cord injury requiring a high level medical needs, full assistance with personal care, activities of daily living, household tasks, etc. You help the client with everything.

"You are the hands of the client."

The client lives in a private home near the hospital with her husband and two dogs. The client wants someone who enjoys them.

Looking for a motivated caregiver who will provide care in a one-on-one environment. Should be reliable, dependable, willing to learn, and positive.

*Client does not exclude, but prefers female caregivers due to the personal nature of her cares.

Job Entry Requirements

* Experience with caregiving. In-home care preferred

* Need to be able to do heavy lifting with proper techniques during rolling and position. Ceiling lift used for transfers.

* Social and good communication

* Respect the work environment and privacy of the client’s personal life and family

* Value and respect co-workers—able to work as a team and support each other

* Reliable Transportation to and from work. Must have a good driving record

* Must pass MN State Background Check

*Must complete all required online trainings

Caregiver Responsibilities

* Fully assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and additional personal cares

* Transfer with ceiling lift

* Take vitals and give medications

* Assist with exercises, range of motion, and braces

* Prepare meals/snacks with the client's guidance and assist the client with eating

* Housekeeping & Laundry - Maintain a clean and neat environment

* Assist with shopping

* Drive the client in her wheelchair accessible van

* Support with hobbies, organization, and social activities

Benefits

* Paid Time Off (PTO) accumulating 1 hour for every 30 hours worked

* Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST), accumulating 1 hour for every 30 hours worked

* Time and a Half Pay Rate on the following Holidays (New Year's Day, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, 4th of July, Labor Day, Veterans’ Day, and Thanksgiving, Christmas Day)

* $1,200.00 stipend after 6 months of employment

* $750.00 stipend with additional voluntary trainings (employed for 6 months or more)
