Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Part-Time Visiting Registered Nurse (RN), LPNs not needed please ;

In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care directly to patients in their homes or community settings. Your expertise will support patient recovery, manage chronic conditions, and promote overall well-being through personalized care plans. This position offers an energizing opportunity to make a meaningful difference while maintaining work-life balance.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history reviews to determine individualized care needs.
Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform wound suturing using aseptic techniques to ensure safe and effective treatment.
Provide specialized care such as catheterization, ostomy care, tube feeding, and ventilator management in accordance with best practices.
Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication administration, and health coaching to empower self-care.
Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, and follow-up care.
Manage urgent situations including acute pain episodes, infectious disease concerns, or trauma scenarios with professionalism and promptness.

Requirements

Valid RN license with New Jersey state licensure.
Experience working in diverse settings such as home care, long-term care facilities, hospitals, or assisted living communities.
Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation.
Strong clinical skills including IV insertion, phlebotomy, medication administration, and sterile processing techniques.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and diagnostic evaluation procedures.
Ability to perform physical examinations and assessments with attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication skills for patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams.
Flexibility to work part-time hours across various shifts; travel nursing experience is a plus but not required.
