Job Summary

Vandalia Health is seeking an experienced Ultrasonographer 3 to join our team at Parkersburg Primary Care. This advanced-level role performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures while serving as a clinical resource and mentor to other imaging staff. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

Perform advanced diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to established protocols and physician orders
Produce accurate, high-quality images for interpretation by providers
Provide patient education, comfort, and safety throughout procedures
Serve as a resource for complex or specialized ultrasound studies
Assist with training, mentoring, and supporting other sonography staff as needed
Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Accurately document procedures and findings in the electronic medical record
Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient care

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
Active ARDMS certification required (RDMS and/or specialty credentials as applicable)
Minimum 3 years of clinical ultrasound experience required
Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and ultrasound imaging techniques
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent communication and patient service skills
