Full Job Description

MY Nissan & Kia is seeking an experienced, motivated, and results-driven Automotive Parts Manager to lead our parts department. We are looking for a hands-on leader with a proven track record of driving profitability, maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting Fixed Operations, and developing a high-performing positive team culture.

Primary Responsibilities:

Oversee all daily operations of the Parts Department.
Recruit, train, coach, and develop Parts Advisors, Warehouse personnel, and Delivery Drivers.
Maintain proper inventory levels while minimizing obsolescence and maximizing inventory turns.
Ensure timely ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution of OEM parts.
Partner closely with the Service Department to maximize technician productivity and first-time repair completion.
Maintain and grow parts business while delivering exceptional customer service to retail and wholesale customers.
Monitor department financial performance, including gross profit, expenses, inventory adjustments, and monthly objectives.
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular bin/cycle counts and physical inventories.
Ensure warranty parts retention is followed and dealer maintains OEM compliance with Nissan and Kia policies.
Build strong relationships with retail, wholesale, and internal customers.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe Parts Department.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of automotive dealership parts dept manager experience required.
Nissan, Kia, or import dealership experience preferred.
Strong understanding of:
Inventory management and inventory turn
Parts gross profit and departmental financial performance
Obsolescence reduction strategies
Wholesale parts development
Manufacturer warranty parts retention requirements
Experience with dealership management systems such as Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, Dealertrack, Tekion, or similar.
Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to analyze reports and make data-driven business decisions.
