Full Job Description

Full-Time Custodian Position Opening

Second Baptist Church is now accepting applications for a full-time Custodian.

Our custodial ministry plays a vital role in serving our church family by caring for the facilities God has entrusted to us. Every clean classroom, prepared worship space, welcoming entrance, and well-maintained building helps support the ministry of our church each week.

This full-time position (40 hours per week) includes responsibilities such as:

Cleaning and maintaining church facilities
Setting up and taking down rooms for ministry events
Performing basic maintenance and preventative care
Monitoring the building and reporting maintenance needs
Assisting with the day-to-day care and appearance of our church campus

We're looking for someone who is:

Dependable and trustworthy
Hardworking and self-motivated
Task-oriented with attention to detail
Able to work well with staff, church members, and guests
Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform custodial and light maintenance work
Committed to serving the church with excellence and a Christ-honoring attitude

The position is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. We offer competitive compensation with paid time off, with pay based on qualifications and experience.
