Overview:
Kearfott Corporation is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant & Analyst to join our team in Black Mountain, NC. As the Senior Accountant & Analyst, you will support our manufacturing plants in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across Finance, Accounting, Program Management, Supply Chain, Contracts, and Operations on a daily basis through frequent in-person collaboration and coordination. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial modeling skills, business acumen, a strong foundation in accounting, and the ability to analyze complex financial data to provide actionable insights that drive organizational performance.
Essential Functions
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Develop financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts and identify variances.
- Conduct profitability, cost-benefit, and trend analyses to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with business units to gather financial data and provide analytical support.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
- Evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Analyze market trends, operational metrics, and business performance to identify risks and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Demonstrated expertise in balance sheet analysis and cash flow management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling).
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, IFS, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Must be US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification.
- Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, technology, or other relevant industries.
- Knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools.
