Location: Hybrid (within 150 miles of Meadville, PA)

Job Type: Full-Time

Travel Requirement: Up to 50%

Salary Range: $75,000–$125,000 annually, based on experience

About Us

Brewery Franchises LLC is a rapidly growing franchise organization with over 20 locations nationwide. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Culinary Director to lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of our food program across all franchise pubs.

Position Summary

This hybrid role includes remote work, periodic collaboration at our Corporate Headquarters in Meadville, PA, and travel to franchise locations across the United States. The Culinary Director oversees all aspects of the culinary program, ensuring consistency, quality, and innovation throughout the franchise system. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Franchise Operations and works closely with franchise owners, operations leadership, marketing, brewery production, and vendor partners.

Responsibilities

● Lead the culinary vision for all franchise locations.

● Develop seasonal menus, limited-time offerings, and core menu items aligned with the brand.

● Standardize recipes, portioning, plating, preparation methods, and kitchen procedures.

● Create recipe books, prep guides, training manuals, and kitchen operating standards.

● Train franchise owners, managers, and kitchen staff during new store openings and provide ongoing support to existing locations.

● Conduct on-site culinary training, operational assessments, menu implementation, and quality assurance reviews.

● Collaborate with operations, marketing, and brewery teams on food-and-beer pairings and seasonal promotions.

● Analyze food costs, labor efficiencies, inventory controls, and menu profitability.

● Source products and work with approved vendors to ensure quality and cost effectiveness.

● Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.

● Continuously improve kitchen systems, workflows, and operational efficiency.

● Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to culinary teams across the franchise network.

Catering & Events

● Develop catering and event menus for both in‑house and off‑site events, including pricing, scaling, and operational execution.

● Support franchisees in hosting and executing business lunches, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, showers, holiday parties, and other special events.

● Build systems and SOPs for large‑scale event production across multiple locations.

● Partner with marketing to promote catering services and drive event bookings.

● Create operational guides for packaging, transport, and delivery of catered items.

Delivery & Technology Platforms

● Oversee culinary execution for third‑party delivery platforms including Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub, Popmenu, and Toast.

● Ensure menu optimization, packaging standards, and operational readiness for delivery-driven revenue.

● Maintain strong working knowledge of Toast and Popmenu to support franchisees with menu updates, pricing, modifiers, and operational workflows.

● Collaborate with marketing and operations to improve digital ordering performance and guest experience.

Qualifications

● Minimum five (5) years of experience as an Executive Chef, Culinary Director, or multi‑unit restaurant leader.

● Experience developing menus for multiple locations or franchise systems preferred.

● Catering experience, including menu development, pricing, scaling, and event execution.

● Strong understanding of food costing, inventory management, labor management, purchasing, and kitchen operations.

● Experience with delivery platforms (Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub) and restaurant technology systems (Toast, Popmenu).

● Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

● Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.

● Ability to travel up to 50% throughout the United States.

● Valid driver’s license and ability to travel by air and automobile.

● ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain).

● Passion for hospitality, craft beer, and creating memorable guest experiences.
