Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU / Stepdown / Neuro Trauma | Days | Marshfield, WI

Pay Rate: $70/hour

Local Pay upto: $63/hour

Travel PCU / Stepdown RN Opportunity – Marshfield, Wisconsin

We're seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for a 13-week travel assignment in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Join a high-acuity Neuro Trauma Progressive Care Unit (PCU) where you'll care for patients with complex neurological and trauma conditions while working alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

This opportunity is ideal for nurses with recent PCU, Stepdown, ICU, or Medical-Surgical experience who are comfortable caring for critically ill patients and managing advanced therapies.

Multiple openings available! First-time travelers are welcome.

Job Details

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU / Stepdown / Neuro Trauma
Location: Marshfield, WI
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: September 14, 2026
Schedule: Days
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (3×12-Hour Shifts)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Per Week (48-hour schedules may also be available)
Care Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Holiday Requirement: Rotating Holidays
Floating: May float to other Medical-Surgical specialty units as needed
Call Requirement: None

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to neuro, trauma, and stepdown patients
Assess, monitor, and manage patients with complex neurological and medical conditions
Administer medications, IV therapies, and titratable drips
Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in patient condition
Care for patients with tracheostomies and ventilator support
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and recovery
Document patient care accurately using the electronic medical record
Respond quickly to emergencies while maintaining exceptional patient safety standards

Minimum Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
Minimum 2 years of recent PCU, Stepdown, ICU, or Medical-Surgical experience
Experience in an acute care setting within the past year
Current BLS Certification (AHA)
Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
Experience managing titratable IV drips
Comfortable caring for tracheostomy patients; ventilator experience strongly preferred
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
