Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage and handling techniques are followed
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management
Participate in catering events as needed, providing high-quality food service to guests
Utilize knife skills for precise food preparation, ensuring consistency in presentation

Skills

Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably in fine dining or restaurant settings
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus
Ability to plan menus that cater to diverse dietary needs
Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and serving staff
Familiarity with catering services and meal preparation for large groups is beneficial
