Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Vascular Sonographer Technologist to join our medical team. This role involves performing advanced vascular imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sonography, interventional radiology, and cardiology, with experience working in high-acuity environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers. The Vascular Sonographer Technologist will play a vital role in providing accurate diagnostic evaluations within a fast-paced, patient-centered setting.

Duties

Perform detailed vascular ultrasound examinations, including Doppler studies and duplex imaging, to assess blood flow and vascular integrity.
Assist with interventional procedures such as cardiac catheterization and other cath lab activities, ensuring proper imaging documentation.
Monitor vital signs and maintain aseptic technique during invasive procedures to ensure patient safety.
Collaborate with physicians and interventional radiologists to interpret diagnostic images and provide relevant physiological data.
Support emergency medicine protocols by rapidly performing vascular assessments in trauma or critical care situations.
Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, findings, and patient information according to hospital policies.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated for optimal performance.
Adhere to infection control standards and safety protocols, especially within high-acuity environments like trauma centers.

Requirements

Certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography with specialization in vascular imaging.
Proven experience in interventional radiology, cardiac catheterization, and cath lab procedures.
Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and vital signs relevant to vascular health.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control practices within emergency medicine or trauma settings.
Experience working in Level I or Level II trauma centers preferred.
Strong understanding of interventional cardiology procedures and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments such as emergency departments or trauma centers.
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to patient care through advanced imaging techniques while working within a dynamic healthcare environment that values expertise and professionalism.
