Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this vital role, you will support the kitchen by preparing ingredients, assisting with food assembly, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. In this role, you will work in our central kitchen that prepares ingredients and products to support our growing restaurant group! Your enthusiasm for food preparation and commitment to cleanliness will help us deliver delicious, high-quality meals consistently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills, work in a fast-paced environment, and contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications, including chopping, slicing, and portioning.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, mixers, ovens, and other appliances.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards.
Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure freshness.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow during busy periods.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including slicing, dicing, and recipe adherence.
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining safety standards in production.
Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for various ingredients.
Understanding of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures.
Effective communication skills for coordinating with kitchen staff and ensuring quality service delivery.
Familiarity with restaurant or food industry environments enhances your ability to thrive in this role.
