Job Title: Purchase Coordinator - Residential Construction (Starting pay: $45,000 OR BASED ON EXPERIENCE)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Purchase Coordinator to support our residential construction projects. The ideal candidate will have AutoCAD experience to review and interpret construction drawings, ensuring precise procurement of materials and services necessary for high-quality home building.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate the purchase of construction materials, fixtures, and services required for residential projects.
Review and interpret residential construction drawings and specifications using AutoCAD to ensure accurate ordering.
Perform take-offs for each project to determine material quantities and costs, ensuring project margins are met.
Become familiar with Buildertrend, our operating system, to manage procurement activities and project tracking efficiently.
Collaborate with architects, designers, contractors, and suppliers to confirm material requirements and delivery schedules.
Prepare and issue purchase orders, tracking their progress from order to delivery.
Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and terms with vendors to optimize procurement efficiency.
Maintain organized records of all procurement transactions, vendor contacts, and project documentation.
Resolve any issues related to order discrepancies, delays, or quality concerns.
Support project teams with technical drawings and updates as needed.
Assist in inventory management and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

Experience as a Purchase Coordinator or similar role within residential construction.
Proficiency in AutoCAD to review and understand construction drawings and plans.
Familiarity with Buildertrend or similar project management software.
Strong knowledge of residential building materials, costs, and suppliers.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform accurate take-offs to meet project margins.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in residential construction is preferred.
