Position Summary

The Production Team Manager serves as the primary customer liaison for production-related matters. This position is responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships, coordinating production requirements, communicating customer expectations internally, and ensuring customer needs are met through effective collaboration with Production, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, and Management.

This position is intended for a recent college graduate with a bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field. The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training to develop an understanding of manufacturing operations, production processes, and customer requirements while building a career in the automotive manufacturing industry.

Essential Job Duties

Customer Relationship Management

· Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers regarding production-related matters.

· Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with customer representatives.

· Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, requests, and concerns.

· Coordinate customer meetings, conference calls, plant visits, and production reviews.

· Represent NVH professionally in all customer interactions.

Customer Communication

· Communicate production schedules, order status, and manufacturing updates to customers.

· Ensure customer expectations and requirements are clearly communicated to internal departments.

· Prepare professional correspondence, reports, presentations, and meeting minutes.

· Track customer requests and ensure timely follow-up.

· Coordinate communication between customers and internal departments.

Production Coordination

· Work closely with Production, Engineering, Logistics, Planning, and Quality to meet customer requirements.

· Monitor customer orders and production priorities.

· Coordinate customer-requested production changes.

· Assist with new product launches and production transitions.

· Monitor delivery commitments and customer deadlines.

Issue Resolution

· Assist in resolving production issues affecting customer deliveries or satisfaction.

· Coordinate corrective actions with internal departments.

· Track open issues until successful resolution.

· Maintain action item logs and provide status updates to customers and management.

Continuous Improvement

· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction.

· Identify opportunities to improve communication, responsiveness, and workflow.

· Support customer scorecard improvement initiatives.

· Assist management with special projects related to customer service and production.

Training

This position includes on-the-job training. Employees will be trained on inspection procedures, quality standards, and documentation requirements.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to walk throughout the manufacturing facility.

· Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

· Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
