Full Job Description

Karen Battaglia for State Senate seeks qualified individuals to serve as paid canvassers for the upcoming election campaign. We are looking for an individual interested in learning how campaigns work from the ground up. This fast-paced, team-oriented position is focused on reaching voters in the community.

Responsibilities:

Daily Voter Contact through door-to-door canvassing and phone banking.
Utilize Votebuilder to track metrics and for cutting turf for staff and volunteers.
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for canvassing, phone banking.
Must be able to hit metric goals on a weekly and daily basis and work well under pressure.
Build a strong volunteer base for Get Out the Vote operations.
Develop and maintain relationships with voters and volunteers in assigned territory.
Provide daily/weekly reports on voter contact to the Field Director/ Campaign Manager
Any other campaign-related tasks, as needed. Flexibility required.
Driver’s license and access to a car, daily.

Qualifications:

Prior organizing experience preferred but not required (paid, volunteer, or internship)
A background in VoteBuilder and MiniVanFull availability (7 days per week) for the last 4 weeks before an Election is required.
Ability to work long and unusual hours (weekends and nights, especially leadingup to the election)
Detail orientated and comfortable to work in a fast paced environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
Access to a reliable vehicle. Travel is required
Positive attitude and a commitment and passion to the cause of electing Democrats all across the state.

Job Type: Full-time; Contract

Pay: Based on experience; Full paycheck through November 15, 2026.

Schedule:

8 hour shift
Day shift
Weekend Availability (Must work either Saturday or Sunday)
