We are seeking a Billing Supervisor with a passion for service excellence to join our team in the Dallas area. The Billing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Billing Department to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant billing, collections, and reimbursement for services provided by HHM Health. This position leads the day-to-day operations of HHM Health’s billing function and provides direct supervision to all teams within the revenue cycle, including the Insurance Verification and Eligibility team, monitor revenue cycle performance and ensure compliance with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), HRSA, CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements. The Billing Supervisor collaborates with clinical, operational, coding, and finance teams to optimize reimbursement, reduce denials, improve accounts receivable performance, and support HHM Health's mission of providing high-quality, affordable healthcare to underserved communities. Reporting to the Director of Revenue and Billing, this role ensures accurate and timely claim submission, clean eligibility and verification at the front end, effective denial and accounts receivable management, and full compliance with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) billing requirements across Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), Medicare, and commercial payers.

Here's a sneak peek at what you'll do:

Supervise all FQHC revenue cycle operations, including insurance verification, charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, accounts receivable, denial management, and collections to ensure efficient and compliant workflows.

Oversee FQHC encounter billing, Prospective Payment System (PPS) reimbursement, wraparound payments, sliding fee discount program billing, and grant-funded reimbursement processes.

Ensure accurate and timely submission of Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, and commercial insurance claims while maintaining compliance with HRSA, CMS, HIPAA, and FQHC regulatory requirements.

Monitor billing activities to ensureaccuratecharge capture, coding, documentation, payer rule adherence, reimbursement methodologies, and regulatory compliance.

Lead denial management, appeals, payment reconciliation, accounts receivable follow-up, and patient balance resolution to maximize reimbursement and reduce aging accounts.

Supervise, coach, train, and evaluate revenue cycle staff by assigning workloads,monitoringproductivity and quality metrics, conducting performance reviews, and promoting continuous professional development.

Collaborate with providers, coding, clinical, and operational teams to resolve documentation and billing issues that impact reimbursement and revenue cycle performance.

Generate, analyze, and present revenue cycle reports and key performance indicators (KPIs), including denial trends, collections, aging reports, and reimbursement metrics, while supporting audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Support UDS reporting and ensure accurate billing data for HRSA reporting requirements while maintaining audit-ready documentation and staying current with federal, state, and payer regulations affecting FQHC reimbursement.

Develop and implement standardized billing procedures, communicate payer and regulatory updates, cross-train staff, and recommend process improvements to optimize operational efficiency, compliance, and financial performance across the FQHC revenue cycle.
What you need to succeed

Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Billing & Coding, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible medical billing or revenue cycle experience, including 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience, preferably in an FQHC, community health center, or ambulatory care setting.

Extensive experience with FQHC revenue cycle operations, including Prospective Payment System (PPS) reimbursement, encounter billing, wraparound payments, sliding fee discount programs, UDS reporting, and HRSA compliance.

Strong working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Texas Medicaid (TMHP), Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), CHIP, commercial insurance, and payer reimbursement methodologies.

Comprehensive understanding of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS coding, modifiers, NCCI edits, medical necessity requirements, claims processing, denial management, payment posting, and eligibility verification.

Thorough knowledge of HIPAA, CMS, HRSA, OIG, OSHA, and FQHC regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and payer guidelines.

Proficiency with eClinicalWorks (ECW) or similar EHR systems, practice management software, clearinghouses, payer portals, Microsoft Office Suite, and revenue cycle reporting tools.

Strong leadership, analytical, financial, organizational, and problem-solving skills with experience supervising teams, interpreting revenue cycle metrics, improving reimbursement, and driving operational excellence.

Excellent communication, professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and a patient-centered approach, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams while supporting HHM Health's mission of serving diverse and underserved communities.
Shift Schedule - Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm (ONSITE in Mesquite)
