Events by DMV Cater is a catering company serving the greater DMV area, delivering exceptional food, polished service, and memorable experiences from intimate gatherings and weddings to large-scale corporate events and private galas.

Job Overview

We are looking to hire energetic and relationship-driven candidates with ability to convert inquiries into bookings, build lasting partnerships through outstanding service and proactive sales efforts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, in-person environment, communicates with confidence. Outgoing, organized, persuasive, and highly responsive, motivated by both client satisfaction, and personal revenue growth. This opportunity offers base pay plus commission, strong earning potential, and room to grow with an ambitious and expanding hospitality company. The right candidate understands how to balance excellent service with revenue growth and is confident managing the sales process from lead generation through closing.

Pay

Duties and Responsibilities

Generate new business through proactive outreach, networking, referrals, and follow-up
Respond to inquiries and guide potential clients through the booking process
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing accounts
Prepare quotes, proposals, and event-related sales communications
Manage leads, pipeline activity, and follow-up schedules using CRM software
Identify opportunities for upselling and repeat business
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth handoff from sales to execution
Deliver exceptional customer service before, during, and after the sales process
Support marketing initiatives, promotions, and business development efforts as needed

Requirements

Experience in sales, hospitality, customer service, or account management
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong negotiation and relationship-building ability
Comfortable with proactive sales efforts and lead follow-up
Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts at once
Must be comfortable working in person
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance

Qualifications

Experience in catering, events, hospitality, retail sales, or related industries is highly desirable
Strong closing skills and confidence engaging clients
Experience with upselling, account development, and business growth strategies
Familiarity with product demos, sales presentations, or consultative selling is a plus
Professional, polished, and highly motivated
Self-starter with strong follow-through and attention to detail

Experience

Prior experience in sales, hospitality sales, retail sales, customer-facing business development, or account coordination preferred
Experience using CRM tools preferred
Prior event or catering sales experience is a strong plus
