Senior Listing Agent Arlington, VA | Northern Virginia | Washington, DC | Montgomery County, MD Hybrid / Work From Home

Established 20+ year real estate business seeking an experienced listing agent to help deliver an exceptional seller experience throughout Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, and Montgomery County, Maryland.

Our team has successfully represented approximately 60-90+ buyers and sellers annually for more than two decades. We are seeking an experienced, highly organized real estate professional who excels at working with sellers, managing listings, coordinating vendors, negotiating contracts, and delivering outstanding client service.

This is not a lead-generation-heavy role. We are looking for an experienced real estate professional who enjoys serving clients, managing listings, solving problems, and delivering results.

Company-generated listing opportunities and seller leads are provided. While candidates are welcome to generate additional business, success in this role does not depend on cold calling, door knocking, purchasing leads, or building a business from scratch.

We are looking for a long-term team member who wants to grow with an established and respected business. Strong performers will have opportunities to take on additional responsibilities over time and help shape the future direction of the team.

Compensation

Negotiable base salary

Expected total annual earnings: Approximately $100,000+

Compensation structure will be tailored to the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.

What You'll Do

Seller Representation & Listing Management

Conduct seller consultations and property walkthroughs
Advise homeowners on repairs, improvements, staging, decluttering, and pricing strategy
Create customized listing preparation plans
Guide sellers through every stage of the listing and sales process
Deliver a high-touch, concierge-level client experience

Team Coordination & Listing Execution

Work closely with the team's full-time administrative and technology specialist to execute listing preparation and marketing plans
Direct and supervise listing-related activities performed by staff, vendors, and service providers
Coordinate photographers, stagers, contractors, landscapers, painters, cleaners, movers, and other vendors
Manage listing timelines and ensure all parties remain on schedule
Proactively identify and solve problems before they affect clients or transactions
Serve as the primary point person responsible for overseeing each listing from preparation through settlement

Marketing & Launch Coordination

Manage all aspects of listing preparation and launch
Review listing content, photography, and marketing materials
Coordinate open houses and marketing initiatives
Ensure each property meets the team's standards before going live

Contract Negotiation & Transaction Management

Present and explain offers to sellers
Negotiate pricing, terms, contingencies, and repair requests
Guide clients through inspections, appraisals, financing milestones, and settlement
Resolve transaction issues professionally and efficiently
Maintain consistent communication with clients, cooperating agents, lenders, title companies, and vendors

Required Qualifications

Active Virginia real estate license AND Active Washington, DC real estate license
Ability to obtain a Maryland real estate license within six months of joining the team
Proven experience representing sellers and managing listings
Strong contract negotiation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to work independently from a home office
Candidates should reside in Arlington, Falls Church, McLean, Alexandria, or nearby communities that allow convenient access to Arlington throughout the workweek

Production Requirement

Candidates must have personally represented:

At least 15 seller-side transactions within the past 24 months

At least 20 residential transactions within the past 24 months

Preferred Qualifications

Prior supervisory, leadership, or team management experience
Experience directing support staff, vendors, and third-party service providers
Proven ability to manage multiple active listings simultaneously
Knowledge of Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, and Montgomery County real estate markets
Existing sphere of influence and referral business

What Success Looks Like

Successfully oversee approximately 25 listings annually
Deliver exceptional seller experiences from consultation through closing
Maintain strong client satisfaction and referral generation
Protect and enhance the team's reputation for professionalism and service
Help create scalable systems and processes that support future growth
Become a trusted resource for clients, vendors, and fellow team members
