Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative Part-Time with Full-Time Opportunity

Steel Veterinary Services – Washington, PA

Starting Pay: $16.00–17.00 per hour (based on experience)

Steel Veterinary Services is a privately owned small animal veterinary hospital located in Washington, Pennsylvania. We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative to join our growing team.

At Steel Veterinary Services, we believe exceptional veterinary medicine begins with exceptional client service. We are committed to providing high-quality patient care while creating a workplace where employees are respected, supported, and encouraged to grow.

This position begins as part-time, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position based on performance, successful completion of training, and clinic needs.

Position ResponsibilitiesClient Service & Reception

Welcome clients and patients with professionalism, kindness, and compassion.
Answer a multi-line phone system while providing exceptional customer service.
Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments efficiently.
Check patients in and out accurately.
Process payments and maintain accurate client and patient records.
Assist clients with medication refills, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, prescription diets, and other products.
Maintain inventory and ensure products are organized and up to date.
Keep the reception and waiting areas clean, organized, and welcoming.

Patient Care Support

As training progresses, responsibilities will expand to include:

Escort clients and patients to examination rooms.
Obtain patient weight and a thorough medical history.
Verify current medications, diet, and reason for visit.
Prepare examination rooms.
Assist doctors and veterinary staff with patient flow as competency is demonstrated.

Previous veterinary or medical reception experience is preferred but not required.

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Pre-employment drug screening may be required.
