Full Job Description

Are you a line cook who is tired of working past mid-night? Are you looking for a better work-life balance? Willow Oaks Country Club is seeking a passionate Full-Time Evening Line Cook with a strong work ethic, positive outlook and who is team-oriented. Looking for candidates with experience in the industry and who want to grow their career within the culinary field.

Strong candidates will have experience with hot-side, preferably sauté or grill stations and experience with food prep. Must be available to work weekends (especially on Sunday's), holidays, and evenings. Shifts will vary but the typical line cook PM hours are Tuesday-Sunday from 2pm-10pm. Hourly rate of pay is based on experience with a starting rate no less than $19.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Ensures that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary.
Sets up, maintains and breaks down prep cook station.
Learn the menu; to include all items, their mise en place and appropriate side dishes and/or garnish.
Serves items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards.
Prepare food for banquet events in accordance with club recipes and standards.
Assist chefs in preparing and serving banquet items.
Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times.
Assists with other duties as assigned by Chef.

Established in 1957, Willow Oaks is a member-owned country club located in the heart of Richmond on the banks of the picturesque James River. Athletic facilities include an 18-hole golf course with practice facilities; eight lighted outdoor & four indoor tennis courts; fitness facilities and swimming pool. Dining facilities include a formal dining room & lounge; member grill & bar; banquet rooms; several private rooms in the historic main house plus a pool snack bar.
