Overview
A leading healthcare organization is looking for an Intake Coordinator to join their team, where you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth patient onboarding and efficient administrative operations within a busy medical practice. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service while managing essential intake processes. Your energetic attitude and attention to detail will help set the tone for positive patient and family experiences and streamlined clinic workflows.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming environment from the moment they arrive.
Schedule appointments and coordinate with providers to optimize daily patient flow.
Explain clinic procedures, policies, and necessary documentation clearly to patients to facilitate smooth intake.
Maintain organized records of patient intake forms, insurance authorizations, and other essential documentation.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure all required paperwork is completed prior to appointments.
Support administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing electronic health records, and assisting with billing inquiries as needed.
Screen patients and direct to appropriate services based on urgency and need

Skills

Proven experience in a medical office setting or similar healthcare administrative role.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret patient information and communicate effectively with healthcare providers.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with medical administrative support functions such as scheduling software and electronic health record systems.
Prior experience in a healthcare environment is a plus.
Exceptional communication skills to interact confidently with patients and team members.
Understanding of HIPAA and healthcare privacy regulations.
