Overview
If you’re an experienced FL Guardianship Paralegal who thrives on precision, accountability, and moving cases forward, this is your opportunity to join a firm that values your expertise. We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just "do the work" - they own it.

You’ll be the lead professional on Guardianship matters, working closely with attorneys, courts, and families to ensure each case moves efficiently from initial petition through ongoing compliance, reporting, and court oversight with speed, accuracy, and compassion.

Have a minimum of 2 years of Guardianship experience in Florida, including full case management from start to finish
Take pride in court compliance, clean filings, and timely reporting
Are a checklist master who thrives on structure, deadlines, and zero dropped balls
Communicate confidently and empathetically with clients, and wards’ families, and keep them engaged and informed
Are calm under pressure, resourceful, and capable of managing files independently

This Role Is Not For You If

You prefer to wait for instructions instead of proactively managing your caseload
You struggle with calendaring deadlines or managing multiple open files at once
You’re looking for a purely remote role without any in-office presence or collaboration

Education and Experience

Minimum 2 years of Florida Guardianship administration experience required
Familiarity with handling minor and/or adult guardianships from opening through ongoing reporting
Experience using FileVine, MS Office365, checklists, templates, and matter management systems preferred
Strong writing and client communication skills a must

What You’ll Be Doing (and How You’ll Know You’re Crushing It)

You’ll be measured by your ability to:

Open new guardianships and draft petitions, notices, and related pleadings
Track statutory deadlines, reporting requirements, and court compliance
Manage guardianship files from Letters of Guardianship through annual reporting and audits
Keep clients and guardians informed with clear communication while minimizing attorney time
Meet internal and court deadlines consistently and reduce the need for extensions or corrective filings
Manage multiple guardianship files at different stages - accurately and confidently
Provide administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of our practice

Core Responsibilities

Prepare and file all guardianship pleadings, including Petitions, Notices, Inventories, Care Plans, and Accountings
Coordinate with courts, clerks, guardians, physicians, and financial institutions
Monitor deadlines and compliance across multiple counties using court portals and firm systems
Prepare and maintain guardianship checklists and reporting calendars
Communicate professionally with clients, guardians, and third parties
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to move matters forward
Provide administrative and case support to ensure efficient operation of the practice
Provide support to the Probate Team
