Full Job Description

Position: Senior Accountant
At CrowtherRoofing, the Senior Accountant is a key member of the team, reporting to the COO and executes a hands-on role in managing the accounting functions of the business including management of accounts payable, accounts receivables, billing, and the month-end close process.
Responsibilities and Duties

Perform monthly close process working with the RCA corporate team
Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Manage customer invoicing and collections
Monitor accounts for payment issues and follow up as necessary
Prepare and issue accurate and timely customer invoices
Coordinate with project managers to ensure billing aligns with job costs
Address and resolve any billing inquiries or disputes
Analyze project costs and profitability
Track and report job costs against budgets
Support the implementation of control systems within the organization
Prepare quarterly payroll taxes
Assist with audits
Assist with the development and evaluation of budgets Tracking
Track, prepare, submit, and collect lien releases
Compile all government forms required for submission with invoicing
Manage / track purchase orders
Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

Degree in accounting, finance, or in a related field or equivalent relevant experience
Previous experience as an accountant, assistant controller, or in a similar role
Strong computer skills and knowledge of accounting software programs
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Knowledge / familiarity with Percentage of Completion Accounting a plus
