JBJ Companies is looking for a dependable and customer-focused Maintenance Technician to join our residential property management team. In this role, you’ll help maintain our apartment communities by completing work orders, troubleshooting repairs, supporting property upkeep, and providing respectful service to residents. We deliver end-to-end real estate solutions by strategically planning, constructing, and managing assets. What You Get To Do:

Complete maintenance work orders in a timely, thorough, and satisfactory manner.
Interact with residents courteously and professionally, demonstrating strong customer service and properly documenting all work performed.
Maintain knowledge of Fair Housing requirements and apply that knowledge when interacting with residents.
Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and cleanup in the following areas: HVAC, Plumbing, Drywall, Painting, Appliances and Electrical repairs
Landscaping, general maintenance, and troubleshooting
New construction punch lists and cleanup
Perform snow removal, lawn care, and other exterior maintenance services as needed.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment and vehicles, ensuring company standards are maintained for their condition, cleanliness, and safe operation.
Assist with vendor service requests, inventory management, and on-site vendor coordination.
Perform all reasonable duties assigned by Maintenance Manager, Property Manager, or other staff.
Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.

Maintains a professional appearance and interacts with residents, co-workers, vendors, and others with courtesy and respect abiding by Fair Housing rules.
Works effectively as a goal-oriented team member while also demonstrating the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Maintains a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. A company vehicle is provided for work-related use.
Maintains flexibility in work hours, including availability for later hours, weekends, snow care, emergencies, or other needs outside normal business hours.
Provides required personal tools, with other tools supplied by the company as applicable.
Maintains a smartphone for work-related communication; a phone stipend is provided.
Follows the company dress code, including wearing a company-issued shirt for identification; jeans, work pants, or shorts; company-logo hats only; and proper footwear based on the work being performed.
Organizes and prioritizes work, multitasks, redirects attention when needed, and maintains an appropriate work pace despite interruptions.

Travel

· Travel between properties is required. Employee is provided with a company issued vehicle for use while working. Employee must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record to drive the company vehicle.

Hours:

· This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime, evening, weekend, holiday, or on-call work may be required to respond to maintenance needs or emergencies.
