Position Summary

APEX Education is seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented Financial Aid & Tuition Advisor to support prospective and enrolled students through the financial portion of the admissions process. This role is responsible for helping students and families understand tuition, payment options, loan processes, financial requirements, and enrollment readiness.

The Financial Aid & Tuition Advisor will serve as a key point of contact for students as they move from interest to acceptance and enrollment. This person will help ensure students are financially informed, properly guided through funding steps, and supported throughout the process with professionalism, accuracy, and care.

This position is an on campus position M-F.

Key Responsibilities

Guide prospective students through the tuition and funding process from inquiry through enrollmen
Explain tuition costs, payment plans, loan options, and financial obligations clearly and professionally
Support students with completing financial paperwork and submitting required documents
Help students understand deadlines, approvals, and next steps related to financing their education
Work closely with admissions staff to ensure students are progressing through the acceptance and enrollment process
Track each student’s financial status and maintain accurate notes, records, and follow-up communication
Communicate with students regularly to answer questions and help remove barriers to enrollment
Assist with loan application guidance and help students understand lender or financing requirements
Ensure students are financially cleared and prepared prior to starting their program
Partner with leadership to improve the financial advising and enrollment experience for students
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling student financial information
Support reporting related to student funding progress, approvals, and enrollment conversion

Qualifications

High School Diploma/ GED/ College Degree, or some college
Experience in financial advising, student finance, admissions support, tuition counseling, lending support, or a similar student-facing role
Strong ability to explain financial information in a simple, supportive, and clear way
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organizational skills and follow-through
Ability to manage multiple student files and deadlines at once
Comfort working with sensitive financial and personal information
Experience in education, vocational training, healthcare education, or student enrollment is a plus
Proficiency with spreadsheets, CRM systems, and student tracking systems , LMS preferred

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is someone who can balance empathy with structure. They should be comfortable working directly with students, helping them feel supported and confident while also making sure all financial steps are completed accurately and on time. This person should understand that financial guidance is a critical part of the student journey and plays a major role in successful enrollment and retention.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
